🇵🇷 Back home in Yucca Valley, CA from my 18 day trip to Puerto Rico!
🕰️ I still haven’t adjusted to the 4 hour time difference! Anyone else get jet lagged from long trips?
🥰 I’m so happy I took time out to spend quality time with my family during the holidays! Make the most out of every moment while it’s here!
🎉 My favorite things from the trip was eating my mom’s home cooked authentic Puerto Rican cuisine, visiting some of my favorite spots that are not only great for photography, but also still accessible!
📸 My favorite things as a disabled photographer was seeing how accessible many beaches, restaurants, and monuments were! I also loved having access to seeing & photographing wildlife in their natural habitat, photographing turquoise waters filled with rainbows every day, being surrounded by lush green tropical landscapes and seeing how resilient nature & the people of Puerto Rico are after being hit by so many major hurricanes!
💖 I especially loved going on a glass bottom boat ride in La Parguera Bioluminescent Bay, finally seeing the arecibo observatory, visiting Cabo Rojo Salinas, Walking the cobblestone streets of Old San Juan, revisiting El Morro, and El Yunque rain Forrest, relaxing on my favorite beaches & discovering new ones!
🚙 Some of my favorite locations were hit hard by the hurricanes, El Faro Los Morrillos was even closed off due to cliffs collapsing & safety reasons, after all the last hurricane to hit the island, Fiona was only a month ago.
